Cannot insert effects

Hi,

when I want to pull an effect in my videos timeline, nothing happens. The faders/crossings are working, but the effects unfortunately not. OpenShot looks quite nice. Hope the effects will be usable. I have Ubuntu 10.04 with 64 Bit.

Ok, I've seen now. That the effect works, but isn't a extra layer like the faders. But it hapens often, that OpenShot crashes, when I'm adding an effect. I've an AMD Phenom with 2,5 GHz and 4 GB RAM plus 120 GB SSD HD. So it's probably not a hardware-performace problem.

Perhaps it depends of the sort of files that you use (ex : aVCHD format needs sometimes a conversion before to use but it is not only for Openshot.)
