1)Ubuntu 8.04
2)Adobe Flash Player 10
3)expected flash player to work again after plug ins crashed and downloaded, uninstalled, reinstalled, etc.
4)continue to get a 'Flash Plug In Crashed' display; can't see anything on video; can't play Farmville...

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Please provide the results of the following command run in a terminal:

apt-cache policy flashplugin-nonfree swfdec-mozilla mozilla-plugin-gnash adobe-flashplugin

This will let us know what flash players you have installed so that we can better diagnose your issue. Thanks in advance!

it looks like if i can download the video the flash player was trying to play within firefox, i can play it from the hard disk without going through firefox.

i tried loading down the latest adobe flash player and it says i already have it installed....but this is NOT the plug in or have anything to do with the plugin...does it?

your guess is as good as mine, if not better. i'm not an IT or 'techie' kind of person--i follow the instructions and if it doesn't work i try to find a different set of instructions...so....??
