Extremely sorry. I didn't mean to hit the edit button. (Maybe it's highly
inconspicuous?)

Is this in package upower or is it libimobiledevice seeing that the crash occurs in the function in /usr/lib/libimobiledevice.so.1? Also, couldn't find a function of the name in the source code of upower so have greater reason to suspect otherwise.

If upower is calling libraries, then the problem could well be in the library itself. Could also be an error in how upower handles the information pulled back from said library. Feel free to add another task if you think it's the library. :)

I'm running 14.04

I've installed the libimobiledevice-utils (sudo apt-get install libimobiledevice-utils). I still get the error though. It appears twice (one after the other) just after logging in. I seems to appear regardless of whether I have any iphone connected.
