Led indicator for layout on keyboard does not work in KDE4

Bug Description

Whichever indicator options I set in applet dialog menu do not work. If I set all three for indication, caps lock still works on a caps key (not used in layout switching), numlock sticks to the numlock present or not (not indicating the switch again) and the scroll lock is just always off.

Shall I make the lock keys (and some other keys) change the layout, led still does not reflect the actual layout information, but just whether the keys were pressed or not.

/etc/X11/xorg.conf says nothing about the keyboard at all, has just the "Screen", "Module" and "Device" sections within, xset led $whatever does not affect leds either.

Any ideas?

P.S. $ uname -a
Linux niels 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:28:05 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux
$ cat /etc/issue
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS \n \l
