Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

not sure if this bug has to be reported against gnome-power-manager...

energy-full: 37.407 Wh
energy-full-design: 48.84 Wh

energy-full value of the new battery is the same of the old one.

1.in a new notebook-new battery (obtained through warranty) i used the old hard disk to boot, with 9.04 installed.
2.Immediately after, i performed a clean install of 9.10, keeping old home.
3.some time later upgraded to 10.04
4.finally performed a clean install -keeping old home- of 10.04

In all these passages the energy-full value is the one of the old battery,
same value is being reported even when i use a live cd.

seems that some how this value
corrupted new battery data in BIOS or in the battery itself in the aforementioned passage 1

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
