Can you try if the bug occurs when using a new profile? You can see how to do that here: "https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs#Try with a new profile"

I've created a clean profile and tested firefox with www.sapo.pt. Once again, it crashes. This time I wasn't able to provide a backtrace as running firefox through the firefox -ProfileManager --debug command opens ddd instead gdb.

summary: - firefox crashes when opening websites
+ Firefox crashes when opening some websites (namely sapo.pt)

Try to disable your Flash plugin (assuming it is libflash-mozplugin.so), and see if the problem is still present.

Nice. I've disabled libflash-mozplugin and firefox didn't crashed. It appears that it was a leftover package and it stirred up some trouble. Once I've uninstalled it and reinstalled flashplugin-installer it appears that once again everything runs smoothly. Thanks!

Since libflash-mozplugin doesn't exist in Lucid, I'll mark this bug as Invalid.

status: Incomplete → Invalid

I don't believe that it is a good idea to mark this bug as invalid. This problem was caused by a bug in the 10.04 install/update process, which made it possible for an invalid package to remain installed which had quite a few nasty consequences. It may not be a firefox bug but it's still a bug nonetheless.
