Bug Description

When typing, my eyes are aimed to where my writing has brought me on the page. On a classical word processor, I use to take the "page" option which brings me back on top of the page thus the screen when I've finished a page, on the bottom.

But since PyRoom is a linear text editor, the first page is still ok but as soon as I reach the end of the first page, my eyes stay put on the bottom of the screen until I've finished my work. This can last for hours and it is very strange to look at the bottom of your screen all the time when you could keep your eyesight horizontal.
I can use the scroll of the mouse but that's an anti-fast-typing strategy. And for whatever reason, I can't get my "scroll lock" working and that's what it was meant for.
I tried to change the size of the writing area but it didn't feel right since I like the default size and the amount of text I can see in a glimpse.

My wish is that the text could scroll up not when you reach the bottom of the screen but when you reach the middle or the two thirds of it. That way, my eyes will have even areas of screen on top and bottom side of their sight.
Since this may not please everybody, there could be a parameter such as the vertical percentage of screen where you wish your ongoing typing to stay.
Or get the scroll lock to work.

Thanks a lot.
Nice job !

Hi,

did you try the "textbox orientation" setting?

Personally, I set my input box to 50% and the textbox orientation to "top", so now, after I've filled the first page, I'm constantly looking at the center of the screen.

Does that work for you?
