Bug Description

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-menubar

It looks like when I hover over different menu categories, backgrounds are not redrawn properly. See the attached screenshot.

Marking high since this is serious enough to preclude using it in the Kubuntu netbook configuration.

System is a Dell Mini 10v (Intel graphics) with Kwin compositing enabled.

Impressive screenshot! I never experienced this, so I am glad you do not get it anymore, but I did not explicitly try to fix that, so it may happen again. My first though when I saw the screenshot was that the application was unresponsive, was it the case?

No, the application wasn't unresponsive and it was very repeatable. I'm glad it's gone too.
