Bug Description

Binary package hint: guake

I'm not certain if this is a guake issue, or if it's in another package, but I'm trying guake under the Maverick Ubuntu Netbook Remix. When I run guake from the command line (as there doesn't seem to be any way to do Alt+F2 on this version, but that's a separate bug), I get the following errors:

** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkWindow)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkInvisible)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkObject)

spriggsj@spriggsj-laptop:~$ lsb_release -rd && apt-cache policy guake

I have the same errors starting up update manager from the command line:

$ sudo update-manager
[sudo] password for jasper:
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkWindow)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkInvisible)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkObject)

So perhaps it is not a guake issue but a more general bug on deprecated (Python) functions/code. I must say the warnings did not seem to affect the functioning of the update manager.

Here some more data:

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu maverick (development branch)
Release: 10.10
