Bug Description

Hi,

I recently discovered an issue with my printer. It is not able to print anymore although it is correctly detected by HPLIP. I got an error message "device communication error code 5012". I was able to print no later than last week. It seems that an upgrade has broken something somewhere. I am under Ubuntu 10.04 with the latest updates.

I performed a hp-check -t and the result is below. It is clearly stated that there is a communication issue, but also that "User needs to be member of group 'lp' to enable print, scan & fax.".

What should I do ? Printer is not usable anymore. I am desesperate.
