Bug Description
Everytime Panflute is started (either added to the panel or a new session), it also starts its default media player. This has been happening since the implementation of lp:596511 (or so it seems to me). Is this the intended behaviour? If yes, is there any chance to implement a 'Start at startup' switch?

No, this isn't intended behavior. Multiple-player support hasn't been testing extensively, and this appears to be a bug in its implementation.
