Bug Description

Binary package hint: bluez

I purchased at RF-BTKB4 Rocketfish bluetooth keyboard in a keyboard/dongle/mouse set. The keyboard pairs fine. Linux detects the keypresses of Shift/Ctrl/Alt, but doesn't recognize when they are held down. Here are links to forum topics about the problem:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1355660
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1368160

The workaround of enabling "Simulate Simultaneous Keypresses" works, but needs to be reset everytime the keyboard comes out of sleep mode.

I have a USB Logitech illuminated keyboard, and a PS3 bluetooth keyboard that both work without the previous problem.

Attached are logs of me pressing 1-2-3-4-5, Holding Shift, pressing 1-2-3-4-5, Releasing Shift

Also, this keyboard works completely fine under Windows 7 Ultimate, dual-booting on the same computer with the same dongle using the only the drivers that come with Windows. I did not have to install anything extra to get it work with windows.

This bug also affects the Bluetooth keyboard that ships with the Lenovo A300 IdeaCentre running Ubuntu 10.04. However, I have a custom desktop using an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard Model A1255 running Ubuntu 10.10 with no troubles.

This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report against it and we will take it from there.
