Bug Description
Binary package hint: mupen64plus
Ubuntu 10.04, installing with Ubuntu Software Center. Installs fine, but no menu item / launcher is created and needs to be added manually.

Are you sure that there is no menu item? It just uses the debian menu system Emulators. Additional it uses applications/ mupen64plus. desktop
to install one under the section Applications/
freedesktop .desktop system to install a desktop file under
/usr/share/
Both appear under debian (kde). I am currently downloading ubuntu 10.4 to test
it. Can you please add information what desktop environment you are using and
if you are member of the games group (/etc/groups). And please never forget to
add exact information what version of mupen64plus version you are using and
from which repository you got it. There are many PPAs with more or less broken
mupen64plus packages and there is no "official" mupen64plus ubuntu package
(only a package synced from debian in ubuntu universe).
