I have run "sudu apt-get update" and after an error massage "sudo dpkg --configure -a to correct the problem.
But an error massage is given.
/var/lib/dpkg/lock and /var/lib/dpkg/ are locket and not accessible. Is it used by an other program?

Hi
Usually a update manager is running in the background according to the preferences you set,and at one time only one package manager can be run. This is causing the problem, please disable the update checker and try again.

Changed in kpackagekit (Ubuntu):
