Possibly same/similar issue as in these reports?
Bug #598653 “Inkscape aborts”
Bug #587297 “inkscape crashes, often locking up the entire desktop”

Yes, probably it's related, but there are more problems!!

I think that this problem affects other programs too. (Such as gimp 2.7 , a few days ago The Gimp worked perfectly, but the same day i have problems with inkscape, The gimp crashes when i want to use the selection tool)

Other reports I found with similar backtraces indicate a problem outside of Inkscape, maybe with some (global) menu applet (or even with GTK+ ?):

<https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/506293>

And now.. ¿what? ¿Where we should go to make the patch?

@Alex Valavanis - you know better how to handle (downstream?) bugs with Ubuntu packages, can you take a look and add this report to the affected package or distribution? It does not seem to be an issue with Inkscape itself.

To all:

i 've been experimenting and i found the "cause" of the problem (in my laptop)

the packages of the repo ( http://ppa.launchpad.net/canonical-dx-team/une/ubuntu lucid main ) were the packages that caused the problem. I removed this repo of my list of repos and uninstalled the packages from this repo, later i made a safe-upgrade with aptitude and that solves the problem.

Thank you for reporting back about your findings what caused Inkscape (and other apps) to crash. I'm closing this report as 'Invalid' for Inkscape - please feel free to reopen if the problem reoccurs and you think it needs to be addressed in Inkscape's code.

@Andreu - you report possibly also is a duplicate of bug #598715 in DBus Menu: “WoW Model Viewer crashes on start (wxGTK application)”, which has been marked as 'Fix Released' on 2010-07-08. Maybe you want to try again using the 'Application Menu' for the Ubuntu Netbook Edition (UNE) with updated packages (dbusmenu)?
