Binary package hint: acpid

Since two automatic updates ago (kernel 2.6.32-21-generic or 2.6.32-22-generic I think) the battery icon in the xfce4 panel no longer shows the correct charge. It always shows 0% although the laptop lasts for a long time when the power is unplugged. The model of machine is black macbook 2,1

Happy to provide more information.

Note, this may be a kernel bug, not an acpid bug (sorry, i don't know)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have the correct package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. I have classified this bug as a bug in xfce4-battery-plugin, which is what Xubuntu uses to display the battery life.

affects: acpid (Ubuntu) → xfce4-battery-plugin (Ubuntu)

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

Note: could this be caused by the sysfs patch?

Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

I'm not sure I agree with it being xface4-battery-plugin. I have the same issue in Gnome. As well as the other commonly reported issue that because the system doesn't correctly report the discharging of the battery the system will just shut off when the battery runs out - despite the battery level low/critical warning/action settings..

I too have a MacBook - Pro 2.2 Aluminium and this bug makes it quite unusable as a laptop because I have simply no idea if the battery will last 40 minutes or 4 seconds. it's very poor.

Can anyone reproduce with a more recent version (e.g. 1.0.0 in natty)? Thanks.

Hello Customer

There’s no battery in these replicas just like the real ones since they get recharged as you move.

About two weeks ago, I ordered two watches. A Rolex Daytona, and a Vacheron Constantin. I found your web site by chance, and decided to take a gamble and order these two watches. To my surprise and delight, my watches arrived in just under a week. The watches are amazing. We checked the Daytona against a real one, and you cant tell the difference. First class all the way. I just received my third watch, an A. Lange & Sohne!!!! The watch is fantastic!!!
Thanks - Everything's great!
