Thanks for your bug report. Which version of deskbar-applet was that? Do you remember what you were trying to do with deskbar-applet or did it just crash at startup?

Version is '2.16.0'. The version of Ubuntu package 'deskbar-applet' is '2.16.0-0ubuntu1'.
Deskbar crashed at startup. If I experience this bug again, I'll add a comment again. :-)

I can reproduce this bug on Edgy, too.

Deskbar crashes relatively often when entering the GNOME session. The only visible feedback about the crash is the bug reporter telling me that the deskbar applet has crashed. Other than that, the applet works as expected even after a crash.

I've attached a compressed copy of the generated crash report.

apport crash files are not useful for python programs at the moment. Could you look to .xsession-errors if you have any python backtrace? Otherwise could you remove deskbar-applet from the panel and then run /usr/lib/deskbar-applet/deskbar-applet from a command line and add it to the panel from the "add to panel" dialog then? If it crashes you should get the backtrace on the command line then
