Bug Description

Binary package hint: krb5-auth-dialog

When krb5-auth-dialog is used to retrieve kerberos tickets, they do not work with nfs’s sec=krb5.

klist -e shows:

Etype (skey, tkt): Triple DES cbc mode with HMAC/sha1, Triple DES cbc mode with HMAC/sha1

while a klist -e from tickets retrieved using ordinary kinit shows:

Etype (skey, tkt): DES cbc mode with CRC-32, Triple DES cbc mode with HMAC/sha1

Can you attach your krb5.conf, is it set up to only retrieve certain enctypes?

Which kinit are you using? Do you have krb5-user or heimdal-clients installed?
