Bug Description

Binary package hint: enigmail

Summary: Enigmail pops up a modal dialog box suspending all system input even though it appears that the individual can selectively toggle focus with various apps. Unfortunately, this is deceptive and in fact all input to the system is halted to the modal dialog box. This is worsened by the fact that sometimes the pineentry box pops up behind your current mail send out.

Platform: Ubuntu 10.04 amd64

Steps to Reproduce: 1) Launch Thunderbird with Enigmail. 2) Send a message. 3) Note that selecting other applications such as GWibber or a browser will not permit input thanks to the pineentry modal dialog box.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Since the passphrase is a very important piece of information, one would not want to accidentally type it anywhere else. What is your suggestion for dealing with this issue?
