Shut down screen resolution is poor

Bug Description

When ubuntu 10.04 is shutting down, the screen that displays the "Ubuntu" logo with a few colored dots underneath does not appear to scale to the proper screen resolution, and so on large monitors it appears pixelated and ugly.

If the central image is not scalable, rendering it in the original size would be a good idea. The background appears to be solid purple, so scaling it (or just filling the whole screen with purple) should not be an issue.
