Bug Description

I created a brand new copy of the official Maverick alpha-1, 64-bit, us-east-1 AMI for Amazon EC2.
  099720109477/ebs/ubuntu-images-milestone/ubuntu-maverick-alpha1-amd64-server-20100601

On ssh login, the following error messages spewed out before the command line prompt:
