Bug Description

Places menu would be more practical if it shows the disk space and a remove button.

This functionalities are integrated in almost all mainstream GUI OS in the form of a bar (Dolphin in KDE applies it), and a button on the right side of all removable media showed on the Places Menu can be innovative, practical, efficient, geeky but fashion, and I think it isn't too hard to implement ;) Don't you think that?

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.

- This is a feature request and not a papercut.
For further information about papercuts criteria, please read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut.

Don't worry though, this bug has been marked as "Invalid" only in the papercuts project.

This bug is an upstream one and it would be quite helpful if somebody experiencing it could send the bug the to the people writing the software. You can learn more about how to do this for various upstreams at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream.
Once submitted upstream , do report back here with the upstream bug number.
Thanks in advance!

Hola Juan, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and make Ubuntu better. I'm interested in this enhancement. I'm not sure about showing the disk space, but I like the idea of the remove button, this would be really good. Can you please add a screenshot of what you want to make it more clear?

Qué tal, Dr. Kenobi!

It's great that you're interested into my enhancement; Maybe the disk
space bar is a major request, but an eject/remove button looks still
enought :) First of all, I'm not a programmer (yet), but I enjoy making
mockups and giving ideas aboit functionalities and interfaces; so I call
for help to people who knows about GTK, the GNOME panels and menus, and
can apply it, not just like an Ubuntu papercut, also as a GNOME default
feature (maybe the GNOME devs are planning something similar for GNOME
Shell into GNOME 3.0, but not for the classic interface (because the
GShell willbe optional, and Ubuntu is not going to carry it in Maverick.

If it finish like a simple papercut for Ubuntu, thatps right, but it
would be awesome of all the GNOME distros can use it :)

Hey, keep in touch, cause in some days I'll attach you a new and more
clearly mock up ;) and another ideas that I have in mind...

Greetings!
JaD!
