Bug Description

When running the TD Ameritrade Control Center 2.0 (java applet) under Firefox in Lucid, everything seems to work fine, but if I click on the icon to open the streamer settings, the java applet freezes after partially drawing the settings window (some colors but no text). I can usually close Firefox, but the java applet will remain frozen until I reboot... even the system monitor can't do anything about it. This was not an issue under Karmic.

I am using sun-java6 (I had to uninstall icedtea & openjdk since the streamer doesn't work properly with openjdk).

Running Firefox from the terminal, the only error message I get is a flood of "(firefox-bin:6030): Gdk-WARNING **: XID collision, trouble ahead" messages repeated in the terminal, although from my research, I don't believe this has anything to do with the Java freeze problem.

I have reproduced this on two systems so far, but I am limited in testing, since I don't have a TD Ameritrade account--I am reporting this bug from the PC of a stock trader friend.

Also, I don't know if this is important, but Compiz was disabled on both test systems, and they both have Intel video chips.
