Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox
Mozilla is currently reducing, for the sakes of privacy and bandwidth, the amount of data sent per HTTP request by trimming inessential text from the useragent string.
https:/
I notice Ubuntu’s Firefox adds ‘Ubuntu/XX.XX (codename)’ into the useragent, and that beyond the privacy issue, there is redundant information here.
For example, Ubuntu/10.04 (lucid) is sent in each request from my system.
Suggested Fixex.
1. Remove ‘(%codename%)’ by unsetting general.
2. Consider removing the distro revision by unsetting general.
3. Consider removing Ubuntu altogether by unsetting general.
