Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Mozilla is currently reducing, for the sakes of privacy and bandwidth, the amount of data sent per HTTP request by trimming inessential text from the useragent string.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=572650

I notice Ubuntu’s Firefox adds ‘Ubuntu/XX.XX (codename)’ into the useragent, and that beyond the privacy issue, there is redundant information here.
For example, Ubuntu/10.04 (lucid) is sent in each request from my system.

Suggested Fixex.
1. Remove ‘(%codename%)’ by unsetting general.useragent.vendorComment
2. Consider removing the distro revision by unsetting general.useragent.vendorSub
3. Consider removing Ubuntu altogether by unsetting general.useragent.vendor

There's no need to have this type of bug open in Launchpad. There's already work happening upstream to do this, and it's not something we're ever going to do on our own
