Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdenetwork
I am finding that Kopete freezes and hogs CPU very soon after starting. When it first tries to start I get the prompt to enter my password, but it freezes very soon after that. If I kill it and try to start it again, a window may come up, but then it will freeze. When I say it hogs CPU, I am talking about anything up to 49% on my Core2Duo.
Strangely, I get this problem with the standard Lucid 2.6.32-22-generic kernel, but I don't get it with the 2.6.33*-realtime kernels I've been using from someone's PPA. I don't think I've tested it enough to absolutely rule out coincidence, but I've tried it several times each way nonetheless.
