Bug Description

I've installed Ubuntu (Minimal and Server) 10.04 Lucid and XBMC with VDR

In Ubuntu (Minimal and Server) 10.04 Lucid the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2200 firmware takes a long time to load which causes VDR at boot up to not load because it can't see any tv tuners.

It loads at about 20 seconds

Usually the firmware is loaded sooner before VDR loads

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. I have classified this bug as a bug in linux.
For future reference you might be interested to know that a lot of applications have bug reporting functionality built in to them. This can be accessed via the Report a Problem option in the Help menu for the application with which you are having an issue. You can learn more about this feature at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

Additionally, You could help us fix this bug by:
- Testing Maverick to see if the issue still occurs.
- Testing the most current mainline build kernel to see if the issue occurs upstream. You can know how to do that here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds
