Bug Description

There should be support for playing midi files as default in Kubuntu.

It's frustrating to not be able to play midi files.

And it's not easy to get it working(read: I failed ;-) )

TiMidity++ is required to play MIDI files, you can install this if you want to play MIDI files.

I'm afraid that doesn't work.

I installed timidity:
sudo apt-get install timidity

but neither Amarok or the Midi test in Systemsettings works.

There is not anything in the official repositories that has the name TiMidity++

Only timidity, but I assumed that was what you meant.
