Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
When copy a lot of data (>2Gb) to an external drive, it starts fast (>20MB/s), but it immediately starts slowing down (<2MB/s). It makes no diferrence whether it's one big file or a lot of small files. I get the same problem copying data with cp, rsync and Nautilus. I had the problem with bot an ext4 formatted drive as a hfs+ non journaled formatted drive (source in both occasions ext4)

if you get the same problem with copy, rsync or whichever other tool, well that's not a nautilus issue. the bug needs to be reassigned.
