Bug Description
Binary package hint: mutter
Mutter eats the <Super> modifier key, preventing other apps from registering system-wide keybindings which contain the <Super> key.
This is an upstream choice for gnome-shell, where <Super> summons the overlay, but does nothing in Unity.

I reported bug #630407. Is this a problem with mutter, or the Unity launcher?
