Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Release: 10.04

When one logs on to KDE and the KDE splash screen has disappeared, desktop and kicker panel appear. When the system tray in the kicker panel populates, the process stops after the USB notification icon has appeared in the system tray. The desktop pauses for about 10-20 seconds and is unusable during this time; however, the CPU load stays near 0%. After about 10-20 seconds, the rest of the system tray icons appear, and the desktop continues to run as expected.

Usually, there is no pause while the system tray populates. This has been the case in all Kubuntu versions prior to 10.04.

Unfortunately this means that there will be no more bugfixes for 10.04. It is also recommended that you upgrade, if you have not already.

Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find, and thanks for your understanding.
