gtk-recordmydesktop is using wrong colormap

I am reporting it here as maybe some kind community member would fork in. btw its a simple task to do for what I have discovered so far by reading a few pygtk tutorials but I cant do it. this application should use the system colormap. gtk in Maverick(and hopefully gtk+3.0 too) is using ARGB and client side window decorations which makes this app to not start at all.
