Printing Blank Pages

Bug Description

I'm having massive and repeated issues with Inkscape printing blank pages (to both a soft PDF printer and a real life Laser). The only workaround I've been able to find was to export bitmaps first then print then bitmaps from other programs. This doesn't occur with all images, and seems to be worse when I use the ChristianUnion logo (that is within the SVG - imported and altered from an AI file).

I'm using Inkscape 0.47 on Vista. I'm including a file which reproduces it on my system. I can include more if you wish.

cannot reproduce the problem on Windows XP, bzr rev 9492, although the image is slightly larger than a 8.5x11 page. When I print it, about one quarter inch is chopped off at the right.
Attached is the pdf file obtained from it.
Have you tried saving as .pdf or .png?

The PDF that you posted chops the CU logo off the side - as does the PDF export from within Inkscape.

PNG Export works perfectly - it has been my workaround up until now.

I've included the PNG of what it looks like with all fonts installed for comparison. But as the logo is in Paths instead of text, uninstalled fonts shouldn't create that problem.

Printing to PDF file is not affected and stores the page orientation correctly.

Could be bug #437550 “Landscape PostScript output prints incorrectly”:

clarification:
1) "chops the CU logo off the side" when viewing the resulting PostScript file with gs (Ghostscript 8.70, 8.71)
2) page size is correctly used (nothing chopped off) when viewing the file with gv (GhostView, gs 8.70)

I am having similar problem when trying to print certain drawing -- just get a blank page when print, save as PDF, or print to a PDF writer (PrimoPDF). Can print tutorials and other drawings, so suspect some issue related to custom page size.

A workaround is to change the page size to default and resize / move the entire drawing to fit on the standard page. I am an Inkscape novice and may not understand how to work in the units I want.

I have an Inkscape file with lots of artwork/shapes that only prints blank pages and when saved as pdf produces a totally blank file. I am running Inkscape 0.92 on Windows 10. I am forced to export a png image then create a new Inkscape file and import the image then print.

Could this be fixed now?

Can people who experienced this issue please try with 0.92.3? It contains fixes for printing blank pages on Windows.

I have experienced this with 0.92.4.
My document has an imported PDF file and basic text elements.

Same problem here wit a number of my files. I've attached a sample.
Inkscape 1.0.2-2 (e86c870879, 2021-01-15)
Windows 10 Pro

Printing svg to printer (including a Print to PDF print driver) produces a blank page. I can 'save as' a PDF ok. But I need the svg to work as I import this file into my cnc cutter program. But that complains about a huge image and fails to load it.
