kmail opens pdf files with gimp

Binary package hint: kdepim

when I receive a pdf attachment and try to open it, it opens it with gimp. however if I download the file and double click it gets opened with the default document viewer (/usr/bin/see). I'd better like kmail to also open the pdf with the default application.

Hey Imre.
Are you using Ubuntu or Kubuntu? What version of GNOME or KDE? What do you mean by "download". From where, how are you trying to opne the "downloaded" pdf?

by download I meant save attachment as file (then open it via (e.g.) mc) I use ubuntu 10.04, KDE 4.4.2, Kmail 1.13.2
Everything is up-to-date. same applies to pdf URLs when clicked in an email.
