Bug Description

In the French version, during installation, after restart, the panel "Installation du système" "Vérification de la configuration de l'install..." displays a progression bar with percentages over 100, eg 771%. A screen shot is available if needed.

While security is important, this is going a bit too far...

The message was displayed during the instalation; I would say base-installer, but have no way to be sure.

Thanks raananb. But could you tell us if you can reproduce the issue? And if so, what steps are you following?

Ubuntu 10.04 is installed on a double-boot Vista laptop, and I am not
really willing to uninstall/reinstall Ubuntu and be obliged to reinstall
Vista.

The message was displayed during the verification of the installation,
when fetching the time from the time server. In any case, there is
nothing specific to do - the bug came up during the installation, when
no bug-tracking is in operation so there is no way for me to find out
exactly when it comes up. Surely someone knowledgeable about the
installation process can find out when this message is displayed and
what produces the erroneous information.

A screen shot (in French) is available on www.pixname.com/Percentage.png
