Bug Description

I have 2 GFX-Cards, one nVidia 7800GT and one nVidia 7600GT - I use the proprietary driver from "Hardware Drivers"
This bug occurs when dragging my mouse from the farthest right screen to the one in the middle.

What happens is that the mouse starts flickering and I am unable to move it more than 25% into the next screen, sometimes I can move it back to the original screen and it returns to normal. Other times it does not return to normal and I have to hard-reboot.

I have reported this one the Ubuntu forums too and I am not the only one with this problem:

And:

Ubuntu 10.04

i have just re-installed my system and have discovered something curious. By default when I activate my 3 monitors from the nVidia control-panel and set them to Xinerama there is no problem dragging the mouse from one screen to another one.
This ONLY happens when I set them up the correct way?

What I meant is that the error only occurs when I set up the screens correctly
If they are in the incorrect order this problem still exists.

I have experienced the same bug using my Dell Laptop and an external Dell monitor. Card is an nvidia 8400gs. Problem exists when xinerama is enabled.

Reassigning to nvidia-graphics-drivers since both of you have a nvidia card.
Can you test on Maverick? If it still occurs, does it occur on the open-source driver (nouveau)?

Also, if you could, please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help.
