Bug Description

[EDIT] The following seems to be a random issue because I could not reproduce the behaviour on another system. It seems that gwibber and facebook connection succeeds at random to me. [End of EDIT]

At the moment of writing this, with Ubuntu NBR 10.04 LTS fresh install and fully updated.

I want to add a Facebook account to gwibber.

When trying this I get the same problem as some others reported:

confirmation with email adres and password: succes

allow gwibber to take specific actions on facebook: succes

then there is no button to complete adding the account

BUT:

when I do this:

click add account ==> Flickr and press add ==> then press cancel

and then retry to add the facebook account: I can complete the dialogs and see all needed buttons to complete adding my FB account

I hope this helps out to improve the program and other gwibber users.

Hi, I am also affected by this issue, I am using Gwibber 2.31.1,
but the "add tips" does not work here.

Affects me too.

I had gwibber installed for months now, i was on dev release. This is the first time it broke;

Even though it says that Facebook is authorized, I still cannot get feeds.
I also experienced problems with gwibber saving the password keys....

Do you think this bug also affects gnome-keyring?

I am affected by the same bug too.

GWibber version: 2.31.1
Ubuntu Version: 10.04

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to Edit -> Accounts
2. Click on Add button
3. Select Facebook from the dropdown button
4. Click on add
5. Click on Authorise
6. Finish all the authorisation steps
7. The Add button is absent.

I tried the workaround suggested by Kris but it took me 4-5 tries before I finally succeeded in getting the Add box.

Seem to have the same problem. can't add facebook-account because the "Add" button is missing after succesfull authorization. Then suggested workaround doesn't work.

I've had this problem for weeks, the suggested work around (adding a Flickr account and clicking cancel) DID work for me. However, I logged into to Facebook using my username not my email address. I am running Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS (upto date as of this posting) and Gwibber 2.33.0~bzr875-0ubuntu1~daily1~lucid from the PPA.
