Bug Description

After installing Fedora 13, smart stopped showing progress dialogs (such as when fetching new repo data, or when installing, updating a package) and the program will freeze and the window is not responsive but after the job is finished it will go back to normal.
I talked about this issue in the irc channel and one guy directed me to this patch http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~smartpm/smart/qt/revision/885 which solved the problem.

Smart version: 1.3 (from fedora repos)
Fedora 13 (Kernel: 2.6.33.5-112.fc13.i686.PAE)
Python 2.6.4

I also checked the code for the next version 1.3.1 and did not see the patch there, that is why i though that i should report it.

This is a regression in glib 2.24. It has been mentioned earlier on the mailing list, but nobody cared to report a bug for it.

Suggested workaround. This is not going in, but can be applied on broken systems.

Hackaround will be to make sure that progress is updated once for each channel, fetch or package.
