Bug Description

I'm running Lucid on a June 2009 MacBook Pro. Last week or so my bluetooth still worked, but now the applet says bluetooth is on whereas the bluetooth preferences perpetually say it's off. The preferences also present me with a big "Turn On Bluetooth" button. When I click it, it is then greyed out but the window still says bluetooth is turned off. If I close the preferences window and open it again, it again invites me to push the button. My bluetooth phone does not show up in network manager like it used to.

Rebooting did not help. Bluetooth did work on the OS the system came with, including pairing & networking.

I thought "apport-collect 592100" would attach logs and configuration information and such, but that just says "No additional information collected." Please let me know what additional information would be helpful.

I've never noticed this problem under Lucid, but after installing Maverick I am now encountering this problem.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about it at http://www.ubuntu.com/download . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
