Bug Description
Currently, the GTG task browser UI will not display the names of tags when you are scrolling through the task browser. There's a facility for colour coding tags, but it's impossible for me to create or remember a system of colours that has the same level of nuance as actual words.
Bug 496421 was filed about the way the "Tags" column was misleading in this respect, however the root bug of not actually being able to see the tag still stands.
Note that web-based applications such as Remember the Milk and Gmail both have UIs that show tags next to tasks.

I would suggest putting tag in front of the task content (as currently displayed if enabled)
