Bug Description
Using Kubuntu 10.04 (updated from 9.10) I can no longer securely unmount my USB drives directly from within Dolphin. Instead I get the error message "... Hal.Device.
Also when using the Device-Applet (in German: Geräteüberwachung) I get the message that there are still files in use.
Nautilus is launched automatically. Choosing unmount there for my USB-drive works fine.

Potentially this has got something to do with the fact, that HAL is not used any more during boot in Ubuntu 10.04?
