Bug Description

I cannot say it is an openoffice related bug. I accepted the updates offered by the automatic update tool and I got the message "could not install package xxx: no connection to server" or something alike. I stopped the process and started all over. I got the same message again and accepted it now. The automatic update manager disappeared, and I saw the red bug alert in the top bar. Klicking on this, I received this bug message and forwarded it to launchpad.
OpenOffice is working though.
I just started the update process again and realized it starts with the message " downloading file 7 of 12" without downloading files 1-6 (the file list is empty). After a while i shows it could not download openoffice.org-calc.
Hope this helps.
Carsten

Hm, I just re-ran the whole process, and although it still cannot download openoffice.org-calc there was no error alert. (Due to the missing package it wasn't installed either.) Possibly the bug results from a simple coincidence: last time I tried to open openoffice.org-draw during the update process and I got a message saying that openoffice ist already running and that that could cause problems etc. May be this coincidence was the cause for the bug, because open office is running fine.
Possibly we should close this bug report and concentrate on more important ones?
