Bug Description

Hoi,

May be this does relate somehow to 585068 or 589703.

Wanting to look at Aquarius 12000 years ago......
Using the date and time window
In this version 0.10.5 the time is out of control (counting down, stopping between -8000 and -9000)
It stops at -9095 / 2 / 0 (status line: -9095-2-00)

example 1: the date time window shows -6756 / 10 / 31; the status line shows -6755-00--17
example 2: setting the date from -4800 / 10 / 31 to -4801 / 10 / 31 the statusline shows -4800-10-31 to -4800-00--29

hope this is helpful

It seems to be a problem with negative JDs, i.e. dates before -4712. Maybe a problem with the QDateTime?

Confirmed. If I manually enter a date that is too high (as a negative number), the controller will start changing the date automatically. When the date is -8895, it won't go lower when you click on the arrow to decrease the year.

Further, if you try to change the month ( in this case 2), clicking the down button has no effect. Clicking the up button changes the month to 4, and clicking it up a second time causes very strange behavior where the date changes itself, and it end up as -8879/2/0.

Not sure if the bug is with the date code, or the controller.
