Application menu do not update after a program installs

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

When i install any application (must be added to menu) , this isn't immediately in the menu applications, but i must update the menu for have the normal situation.

Thank you for your bug report. Could give an application example? How is the menu entry installed?

After install Dèjà-dup the menu entry is not updated automatic. If I do "menu modify" the entry is present and selected, but isn't visible. If I deselect it and select again, the entry become finally visible in the menu.

could you uninstall it and install on a command line using "sudo apt-get install deja-dup" and copy the log to the bug? Do you get the entry listed correctly after restarting the session?

I install again deja-dup and the menu isn't update. I upload the log of installation (log is in Italian language).

does that cache contain the new entry?

Yes, but in the menu is not visible. If I restart the gnome session the
