Katapult doesn't update as new packages are installed

Katapult doesn't update as new packages are installed. Say if one had Katapult running and one installed a new piece of software that even adds a new entry to start menu. Katapult does not realise and you have to restart the process for it to update.

It isn't particularly important just polish really.

I can confirm this. I think that the KDE bugtracker is probably the best place for this feature request but sadly I was not able to report it. The Bugwizard was hanging at a certain point.

On a related note I was just wondering if you guys had seen a similar problem as bug 49901 involving the use of Katapult with Amarok.

Hi there!

At the moment, we are working to get this to work in 0.4

A workaround at the moment, however, is the following.

In Katapult, open the configure menu (ctrl+c on the launcher screen, or by right clicking on the applet icon)

Then close this screen,, it will then re-0index your K Menu

Progress for 0.4 is currently stalled while we're waiting for KDE4 to stabilise...
