The nepomukstrigiservice.so I'm using is from KDE 4.4.4 from the PPA, not sure what the OP is using.

Yes I'm using KDE 4.4.4 from PPA too. Sorry forgot to mention that.

I can also confirm this on 4.4.4 from PPA.

I've since upgraded to KDE SC 4.5 beta 2 from the Kubuntu Beta Backports PPA and now I don't get the above error.

I too have upgraded to KDE 4.5.0 beta 2 and found the issue has gone away; I suspect that's because Mark and I have picked up a newer version of the libsoprano package and that the issues that we were seeing were due to interoperability issues between KDE 4.4.4 in PPA and libsoprano in the Ubuntu repositories.

Of course I've traded that problem for a massive memory leak in plasma-desktop, but that's another story.. ;-)

2.4.2+dfsg.1-0ubuntu1.1 seems to have went into lucid-updates - including the segfault problems.
