Apache uses all the processor time when accessing large mail folder

When accessing large mailbox (INBOX (295/3659)) Squirrelmail display only some messages and consump all available processor until max_execution_time and display internal server error. No logs, no error messagess :(
Sometimes it is possible to see 1 or 2 pages, but no more.
