Bug Description
Binary package hint: bash
using lucid with bash 4.1-2ubuntu3
as a followup to bug #465500
the lines in question now read:
# don't put duplicate lines in the history. See bash(1) for more options
# ... or force ignoredups and ignorespace
HISTCONTROL=
the second line doesn't make any sense. it starts with "or", as opposed to what? it says "force", what does it force?
i find this wording (adapted from the description of bug #465500) much better:
# don't put duplicate lines or lines starting with space in the history.
# See bash(1) for more information
HISTCONTROL=
