Kystemlog crashes randomly and repeatedly

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ksystemlog

This may be a duplicate of #44146.

I can find no pattern to the crashes - they are triggered by new entries into syslog but it doesn't seem to be related to any particular ones. (I thought it may be connected to the zd1211 driver but without that device present it still crashes with events such as cron - the zd1211 driver just seemed to be triggering them as it's particularly spammy)

I have numerous backtraces but I think they are all the same.

I have had the same issue with a clean install of edgy release candidate.

Thanks for reporting this problem and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Does this still occur in the newer releases like gutsy and hardy?

Thanks
