Bug Description
Binary package hint: emacs-snapshot
This is a new install of 10.04 with almost nothing (extra) on it. I first tried to install the emacs23 but it locked the machine up and required a power cycle to reboot it. I then tried removing it - which was difficult, as every time I touched apt-get it wanted to finish the previous install. Sorry I can't add more detail - it was a couple nights ago and I moved on via building from source. It took this long to get email up to interact with the account creation process. -jkc-

The attached DpkgTerminalLog.txt shows you installing emacs22 and emacs23 and emacs-snapshot and a bunch of packages, including cedet which is known to have issues with newer emacsen. I'm taking the liberty to close this bug as Invalid because there is so little to go on and apparently no way to figure out what really happened. If you think you can shed some more light on the problem, by all means feel free to reopen the bug report. Thanks for reporting this problem!
