Bug Description
I use Ubuntu 10.4 Lucid on 15" MacBookPro. When I connect external projector using the provided DVI->VGA connector, I am unable to set resolution any higher than 640x400.
I boot with the external projector connected, then I use "Detect dispalys" buttons under "X Server Dispaly Configuration" in nvidia-settings. That correctly identifies the beamer.
However when I later try to set the projector resolution the highest avaialble to me mode is 640x400, that is far from being sufficient (When I boot to MacOSX on the same laptop with that beamer, the resolution could be set to 1280x960 )

Hi Nestor,
If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/KernelMainl ineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs- upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs- upstream- testing' text. Please let us know your results.
Thanks in advance.
